Dr. Galina Lenyk-Kolotsi is a Family Nurse Practitioner treating patients in Brooklyn, NY.
In order to pursue her Nursing degree in the medical field, Dr. Galina Lenyk-Kolotsi attended the Ivano-Frankivsk Nursing school in Ukraine where she worked as an IV Nurse and Nurse Anesthetist for two years. Dr. Galina worked in a private pediatric office and Mount Sinai hospital in Manhattan as a Nursing Assistant while working on her NCLEX exam to defend her RN license in the United States between 1999 and 2005.
Dr. Galina passed her NCLEX exam as a Registered Nurse in 2005 and worked in the medical surgical primary ACE unit in Mount Sinai from 2005-2008, followed by being an Intake Nurse in a private home care agency from 2008 until 2016. Dr. Galina Lenyk-Kolotsi obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College, her Master’s degree from Long Island University as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and obtained her degree as a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Grand Canyon University.
Dr. Galina Lenyk-Kolotsi worked in a general neurology private practice, and a primary care private practice from 2016 to 2017. She then joined Maimonides Medical Center’s internal medicine team from 2017 to 2019. Dr. Galina Lenyk-Kolotsi joined the inpatient Maimonides stroke/neurology team in 2019 and is still presently working there.
Dr. Galina has extensive experience working with complicated medical conditions such as aspiration pneumonia, complicated UTIs, other medical conditions, as well as recognizing and managing strokes and simple neurological conditions, such as migraines, hyperhidrosis, and back pain. Dr. Galina continues to be active with her research studies in stroke conditions.
Dr. Galina has extensive pain and palliative care experience, where she works as a palliative care per diem NP in one of Brooklyn’s rehab centers from 2017 until present.
